LEXINGTON, Kentucky, February 10, 2026 - Software company AVAIL – which creates content management system (CMS) solutions for the global architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry – will host two professional development events spring 2026, Confluence Seattle 2026 in Seattle, Washington on Thursday, April 2, 2026 and Confluence Chicago 2026 in Chicago, Illinois on Wednesday, May 20, 2026.
Confluence is a series of professional development events that bring design technology practice management and software technology product management from across the AEC industry together in collaborative discourse.
Both Confluence Seattle and Confluence Chicago will be single-day events that are open to all AEC industry technology leaders. Past Confluence attendees have represented leading firms like Perkins&Will, AECOM, LPA Design Studios, HDR, Cooper Carry, EUA, and Parsons and technology providers such as Chaos, Epic Games, Egnyte, Amazon, and NVIDIA.

AVAIL started to organize single-day regional events in 2023 following the success of its signature, three-day event Confluence Lexington held in Lexington, Kentucky in the fall. 2026 is the first year AVAIL will host two regional events.
AVAIL’s signature, invite-only professional development event Confluence Lexington 2025 brought 70 of the AEC industry’s most innovative technology leaders together in Lexington, Kentucky to discuss AEC Platforms: Elevating the Dialog.
Confluence’s programming is deliberately designed to foster conversations between participants, so they can learn, share, and engage with each other to support industry innovation. Programming for Confluence Seattle and Confluence Chicago will continue to explore the theme AEC Platforms: Elevating the Dialog introduced at Confluence Lexington 2025. AEC technology leaders will discuss how the industry can increase the dialog between various technology platforms, reducing redundancy and bringing the silos together in new ways.

In 2025, AVAIL hosted Confluence San Francisco 2025, which explored Progress in AI and ML, A Year Later with speakers from Olson Kundig, Knowledge Architecture, Chaos, and AVAIL.

AVAIL is partnering with two leading AEC industry firms to host Confluence’s Seattle and Chicago events. Global interdisciplinary architectural, urban planning, and engineering firm SOM will host programming in their Chicago offices, and collaborative global design practice Olson Kundig will host Confluence Seattle’s social.
