LEXINGTON, Kentucky, October 10, 2024 - Software company AVAIL—which creates content management system (CMS) solutions for the global architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry—has named Michael Edwards its 2024 AVAIL Champion of the Year. Edwards is the Senior Virtual Design Technical Specialist at global engineering design firm IMEG, which has been a loyal AVAIL customer since 2022.
At AVAIL’s signature professional development event for AEC technology leaders, Confluence Lexington 2024, AVAIL CEO and Founder Randall Stevens presented Edwards with an engraved julep cup to commemorate the achievement. Kentucky is home to the Kentucky Derby, AVAIL, and the Confluence three-day event, so a julep cup—the traditional vessel for the Kentucky Derby mint julep cocktail—made for the perfect gift to express AVAIL’s gratitude to Edwards and IMEG.

“It takes a lot of collaboration and feedback for AVAIL to produce our content management solutions for the AEC industry,” Stevens said. “This past year, Michael has put in many hours working directly with the AVAIL team to think through the development of new features that will help with IMEG's workflows, as well as the workflows of many other AEC industry firms.”

Most notably, Edwards assisted the AVAIL team in thinking through what has become AVAIL’s new Palettes feature, which was released as a preview feature in May 2024 and will be fully integrated in the AVAIL Desktop in the platform’s AVAIL 5.0 release expected later this month.
Palettes allows all AVAIL users the ability to curate unique lists of content to streamline workflows from project to project.

“I’ve enjoyed collaborating with the AVAIL team in any way I can to help improve our industry,” Edwards responded. However, the real value, he added, lies in the AVAIL team's ability to listen to customer feedback and follow through with action. “That’s the game changer. I’m excited about the new features that are coming next!”
2024 will mark the first year AVAIL has named a Champion of the Year. AVAIL’s Customer Success team plans to continue this practice annually.
